Oxford United welcome Kidderminster Harriers to the Kas tomorrow, for the first home league game since that dismal defeat to Tamworth on 16 January. This is the first part of a double-header against the Harriers, who also visit Oxford in a fortnight for the FA Trophy quarter-finals. Oxford, though, will be fully focussed on the Conference game, wanting three points and revenge for the 3-1 defeat at Aggborough on 14 November.
Chris Wilder has almost a full squad from which to select, with only skipper and former Harrier Adam Murray an injury doubt. Murray suffered back spasms before the 4-0 win at Grays Athletic, and was still out for last Saturday's visit to Chelmsford City, for which another former Kidderminster player, James Constable, was also rested. Meanwhile, Mark Creighton has found his first-team place under threat as Rhys Day and Jake Wright have started to forge a decent partnership and Beast has had to make do with warming the bench for the past couple of games. Jack Midson should have done enough at Chelmsford to retain his place up front, while Sam Deering and Alfie Potter must also be in the forefront of Wilder's mind. With Chris Hargreaves making his debut from the bench last Saturday and Dannie Bulman and Simon Clist also playing well, there are a few selection posers for the manager. At the back, Anthony Tonkin will probably return to the side, although Kevin Sandwith also did well in Essex.
Kidderminster are currently ninth in the table, and unbeaten under new manager Steve Burr. Their new loan signing Marc Goodfellow made his debut in Monday's 1-0 Trophy win at Worcester City and he could be in line to start tomorrow. Robbie Matthews, who scored twice against Oxford in November, missed the Worcester game with a migraine, but should be back in the side tomorrow. The referee for the game is David Coote, who was pretty decent when Oxford beat Eastbourne Borough 4-0 back in September. Tomorrow's other Conference matches see Stevenage Borough visit Tamworth, York City travel to Kettering Town, Mansfield Town host Gateshead, and Luton Town (whom United visit on Tuesday) travel to Barrow.
