United boss Dave Kemp has reiterated that he has no intention of following his former boss and mentor Joe Kinnear to Luton (if indeed that is where Kinnear ends up; it has still not been officially confirmed). Following his meeting today with Firoz Kassam Kemp has claimed that it's “business as usual” up the Manor, which presumably means poor performances, dodgy line-ups and slagging off the players as the U's lurch from defeat to defeat. Kemp failed to elaborate whether this meant that there would be more money available for transfers, but if it's true that Kassam and part-time associate director Bill Smith are going to be in charge of negotiating transfers and contracts perhaps it's best that Oxford keeps out of the transfer market for the time being.
