Oxford United are set to welcome Luton Town to the United Stadium on Tuesday night in what is probably their biggest fixture since dropping out of the Football League. Both teams have a rich history and with competition for promotion, competition for who has the biggest gates, and the bad blood between the two sides it should be a tasty affair. United are still unbeaten this season and kept that run going on Saturday when they picked up a solid 2-0 away victory at Ebbsfleet United. Matt Green bounced back from a lack-lustre performance against Forest Green Rovers to score one and make one. The last time the two sides met Luton took all the points; a bumper crowd of 11,121 on Boxing Day 2001 were mostly disappointed as an Andy Scott goal was not enough for the win.
