Huddersfield duffed

From the Rage Online newsdesk Tuesday, March 9th, 2004

First the good news: Huddersfield’s game in hand over Oxford United ended in defeat as Peter Duffield scored on his debut to give bottom club Carlisle victory this evening. Now the bad news: United are Carlisle’s next victims, this Saturday.

Elsewhere in the division Cheltenham, who visit the KasStad tomorrow week, lost 2-1 at Darlington, whose escape from the relegation cesspit looks almost complete. Rochdale increased their distance from the drop zone to four points thanks to a 1-1 draw at Swansea, who are now just six points outside the play-offs. Scunthorpe won 3-1 at York, despite being reduced to ten men shortly after half-time. In the First Division Dean Windass scored Bradford City’s second goal in their 2-0 defeat of Watford.
