Hops rearranged

United's away game against Peterborough, due to take place on January 6th, will now have to be rescheduled following Borough's 1-0 win at Oldham this evening in the 2nd round replay. Posh will now play (and hopefully beat) Chelsea in the third round.

Reserves looted

United's reserves lost 1-0 to Luton at Kenilworth Road last night to a goal scored with virtually the last kick of the match. Paul Powell's new abstemious fitness regime appears to be working as he had an excellent game. Goalkeeper Clas André Guttulsrød had virtually nothing to do all game whilst two other triallists played for United, Magnus Dahlquist and defender Lee Collins (about neither of whom we were able to find any further information).
Oxford Utd: Guttulsrød, R. Weatherstone, McGowan, Collins, Dahlquist, Powell, Whitehead, S. Weatherstone, Folland, Cook, Omoyinmi.

Kinnear linked with Wolves

Joe Kinnear, believed to be working at Oxford without a contract, is being strongly linked with the vacant job at Wolves, following Colin Lee's dismissal yesterday. Wolves have said that they will advertise the post and have no-one in mind for the job, which has also been linked with former Southampton boss Dave Jones, recently acquitted of child abuse charges, and Dave Bassett, sacked today by Barnsley.
