Holes in the net

United's internet presence will be sadly depleted as James Beard has decided to call it a day with his Save Oxford United site, at least temporarily. James' site was possibly the most frequently updated of all the Oxford sites and was many people's first port of call for their latest U's news. Rage Online will endeavour, unsuccessfully, to maintain that momentum. Also today Ox-Tales suspended its discussion forum due to a plethora of abusive (including racist) postings. This forum was often a source of good, scurrilous, totally unfounded rumour and gossip, much of which found its way to Rage Online reported as fact! Together the loss of these two resources seriously diminishes United fans' information sources, especially as the Official Site seems to have lapsed into its old ways of always being last with the news.
