Former United reserve superscorer Norman Sylla yesterday joined Havant And Waterlooville on a two year contract. Havant play in the Doc Martens Southern League Premier Division, a step up from Eastern Division Banbury United. Havant made 41 goal Sylla a very good offer, having watched the French striker for some time, and have persuaded him to relocate to Portsmouth.

Another ex-United striker also has Havant connections, David Leworthy recently being named the club’s reserve team manager.
