United have signed Portsmouth's Guy Whittingham, initially on a one month loan. The 35 year old former Oxford City, Villa and Pompey striker is expected to start against swindon this Sunday. Meanwhile the good news is that Paul Powell has returned to training after his cruciate ligament injury.

United are only expecting about 1,500 supporters at the County Ground this weekend, presumably due to the club's dismal start to the season leading to low expectations.
