Gray day

Former United midfielder Martin Gray has been forced to retire from playing football at the age of 30. Gray injured his back during last season whilst playing for Darlington and, on the advice of the club's physiotherapist and doctor, has decided to hang up his boots. Gray will continue at the Quakers in the capacity of reserve team coach.

United's reserves today lost 4-0 at Wycombe. Chris Hackett took to the pitch for the first time this season and United also gave appearances to triallists James Okoli, who now has received international clearance, and French youngster Norman Sylla.
