United are, apparently, to revamp their scouting system. Chief Scout Jack Casley, United's first ever professional footballer back in the days when it was played in black and white, has retired at the age of 75, although he will still be helping the club look at local youngsters. It has been alleged that the club has made a somewhat derisory offer of a meal to honour Jack's 42 years of scouting for United, but this might be more of a PR gaffe than anything malicious.
