United reserves stuffed Gillingham 3-0 at Court Place Farm this afternoon, with all the goals coming in the first half. Tony Sinclair scored an own goal to set United on their way following good work by Rob Quinn (astonishing, but true) after eight minutes. Jefferson Louis converted a Manny Omoyinmi cross four minutes later and Norman Sylla completed the scoring in the 21st minute to cap a fine team performance. Oxford went close to increasing the lead a number of times, but three's enough really.
