Fit to leave

United physio Neil Reynolds has left the club and gone off to join Division One side Norwich City. Reynolds was brought to the club from West Brom by Denis Smith after John Clinkard went to Everton.

Fixtures

The fixtures for next season are released this Thursday, so United fans will doubtless be planning their itineries for those long weekends away on the English Riviera or in the Lake District or in Irthlingborough.

United's request to the Football League to have their first match away from home, to give them more time to get things ready at Minchery Farm, has apparently been denied, although that remains unconfirmed.

Less exciting is the news that the draw for the first round of the League Cup is due to be made tomorrow. At least United can't be eliminated from this competition by anyone from a lower division.
