In the morning Raging Fever played host to a Carlisle supporters’ team. Not that they had travelled the length of the country to play us, as they were London-based supporters of the Cumbrians.

The game started well for Fever, as the Oxford supporters breezed into a 2-0 lead. First Stevie scored his first goal for RF, and then Jon Matthews added to his goalscoring tally. However, the hosts were unable to maintain the momentum and soon found themselves pegged back to 2-2.

Undeterred, Raging Fever rallied themselves and, thanks to substitute Kasim the United fans took the lead again with his first goal for the club. Stevie capped a fine personal first half performance by scoring his second to restore the Fever’s two goal advantage, but Carlisle pulled a goal back just before half-time.

There were two moments of controversy leading up to the away team’s second equaliser. Firstly Andy Kelly was adjudged to have passed back to goalkeeper Joel “the Flying Hamster” Harrison, leading to an indirect freekick in the Oxford penalty area. From the freekick left back Gary Butler was clearly pushed over as he attempted to clear the ball, which ended up in the net and a goal was awarded. The game ended 4-4, but Raging Fever will be left feeling that they should have recorded their second successive victory.
