Following back-to-back defeats, Fever were desperately looking to return to winning ways as Northampton Town made the journey to Horspath Road.

Despite the supposed simplicity of the journey, The Cobblers arrived short of numbers. This gave John Matthews plenty of time to get his Fever side warmed up to ensure a quick start.
