Fever capitalise on Cobblers’ Christmas gifts

Raging Fever recorded back-to-back wins for the first time since September as the Oxford side pre-empted the work of the first team later in the afternoon.

On a chilly morning, kick-off was delayed due to traffic problems. Fever didn't make the most of the extra time to warm up, instead choosing to bravely remain in the warm changing rooms to discuss the differences between enigmatic and mercurial wingers. In conclusion, Fever have one of each.

The early exchanges were not pleasing on the eye, with neither side able to keep the ball for any prolonged period of time.

This set the tone for the first half, in which goal scoring opportunities were at an absolute premium. Paul Soper had to be alert to tip a looping effort over the Fever bar, whilst the Cobblers' goalkeeper was left to find his own ways to keep warm.
