On the final whistle I turned my back on the pitch (and our players) and walked straight out of Vale Park and onto coach 3. I did not boo, but neither did I clap as many did. It would have been hypocritical of me to do so because I was of the opinion that the fans had been badly let down.

When I saw the starting line up I thought if this lot are all properly fit, up for it and have a decent game plan and know enough of each other
