THOUGHTS BEFORE HEADING TO DEVON

This is only our second season back in the Football League and there are plenty of ex-league clubs bumping along in the Conference that would give anything to swap places with us. Not everyone is going to do a Stevenage and shoot straight through to the league above at the first time of asking. Yet we have an annoying minority of fans who seem to think we have a divine right to be higher up the football pyramid and that anything less than promotion this season will be a huge failure. Even with promotion I suspect there are some that would still be searching for the negatives and refusing to give Chris Wilder, a manager who has improved us year on year, any credit.

3000 plus 2012/13 season tickets sold already suggests there are still plenty backing our football club, but going into the final few games of this campaign I note a marked difference to that of two years ago when we won the Conference play-offs. The atmosphere around now is very different to back then, when it was all
