For the second year running a Raging Fever team travelled to Walthamstow to take part in the Chaos Cup, run by Leyton Orient fans. Twenty teams took part, with a geographical spread from Torquay to Glasgow. For the group stages, Fever were drawn in Group D and played Southend, Queens Park A, Cardiff, and the Stratford Stompers.

Southend:
Southend had already dispatched Queens Park with an assured performance, and so Fever took to the pitch feeling that a draw would be a good result. This was put in doubt however, when just before half time the Shrimpers took the lead with a clinical snapshot. Fever rallied though, and an excellent right-wing run from Stuart Burson resulted in a low cross that John Matthews side-footed home to level the scores. Southend
