Cup Fever

From the Rage Online newsdesk Thursday, May 31st, 2007

It might be the close season for normal people, but for Raging Fever the football never stops. Fever have entered two cup competitions being run this summer, as they did last year.

The Chaos Cup, organised by the Leyton Orientear, takes place at the Douglas Eyre Sports Centre, in Walthamstow, on 9 June. In the draw for the first round group stage, Raging Fever were placed in Group B, along with Orientear B, Queens Park, and Bristol Rovers. This is the third successive season that Fever have entered this tournament, and last year the lads reached the semi-finals, before being beaten on penalties by Torquay supporters. Fever redeemed themselves later though, winning the post tournament Pub Quiz.[@news]503[/@news]

The Worldnet tournament (or the Sports Interactive Cup, to give it its proper title) takes place over three days up in Leeds, from 13-15 July. This is a well-established competition, now in its 12th season, and features over 70 supporters teams this season. Fever were drawn early, in Group 2, along with Doncaster, Birmingham, and Motherwell.[@news]530[/@news] This is Fever's third appearance in this prestigious tournament, and last season they successfully qualified from the group stages, only to be knocked out by Livingston in the first knock-out round. This year Fever are very optimistic that they will do better, and are certain that they will drink much more. Full reports on Rage Online after the events.
