Crosby bings

Andy Crosby has eventually signed for United, subject to a medical, on a free transfer from Brighton. He has signed a two year contract and will move up to the area with his family. The 28 year old defender will almost certainly come straight into the team to face Mansfield this Saturday, possibly as captain seeing as Phil Bolland will be suspended and Martin Thomas is injured, awaiting an operation on his dodgy ankle.

Meanwhile a more low-key transfer has seen Ian McGuckin sign for AFC Barrow. How the mighty are fallen, and McGuckin isn't doing too well for himself either…
