Constable’s progress arrested

Oxford United travel to Aggborough tomorrow to take on Kidderminster Harriers. Darren Patterson continues to look for the consistency that has so far eluded his side. United drew their last match 1-1 against newly promoted Kettering Town and were frustrated by a last minute equaliser that saw another two points slip through the net. We are fast approaching the quarter point of the season, and Oxford find themselves in a disappointing 17th place, five points off the playoffs and eight points from top. With only two wins to their name, against Eastbourne Borough and Northwich Victoria, The Yellows really need to push on now.

Last season at Aggborough United won 2-0, with goals from loan-stars Matt Green and Ashley Barnes. The biggest talking point of the match was the sending off of Kidderminster striker James Constable after he clashed with James Clarke. Constable will be disappointed to miss the return to his old club, after picking up a groin strain in Saturday
