Conference delegates

Wayne Hatswell scored for Chester in their Conference play-off against Doncaster this evening, but the game ended 1-1 and Doncaster, managed by former United player Dave Penney, won through to the final in the penalty shoot-out. Chester, managed by Mark Wright, also featured their player of the year Scott Guyett and Guyett's runner-up Phil Bolland in their side. Doncaster's line-up included Dave Morley, who scored during the shoot-out.

In the other play-off Dagenham & Redbridge beat Morecambe, also on penalties, after the northerners won 1-0 on the day. Dagenham had won the first game 2-1 thanks to two goals from Mark Stein, who opened the scoring in the penalty shoot-out tonight.

The final between Doncaster and Dagenham takes place on Saturday at Stoke's Britannia Stadium.
