Conference daggeral

Dagenham & Redbridge moved 12 points clear of Oxford United with a 2-0 home win over in-form Stevenage Borough this evening. While the result is a blow to Stevenage's play-off hopes, it virtually ensures that the title is Daggers-bound, with just eight games remaining of the season. Borough are seventh, four points adrift of fifth place, but with two games in hand. Meanwhile, Morecambe have moved up to fourth after their 2-1 win over 11th-placed Aldershot. Exeter City are now fifth after they lost 1-0 at Northwich Victoria, who are now 17th.

Weymouth's play-off ambitions took a hefty blow this evening, after they lost 3-2 at home to 13th-placed Woking to leave the Terras in ninth place. Weymouth were leading 2-0 at half time, with Simon Weatherstone[@player]Weatherstone, Simon[/@player] scoring their second goal. Kidderminster Harriers remain in tenth place after their goalless draw at fifth-bottom Tamworth. In an important relegation clash, Altrincham beat Grays Athletic 1-0 to lift themselves to 15th place, four points clear of the drop zone, and leaving Grays third from bottom.

Meanwhile, former United midfielder Jamie Cook[@player]Cook, Jamie[/@player] has been released (by mutual consent) by Rushden & Diamonds. The formerly Rage On sponsored Cook signed for Rushden from Witney United, and made eight appearances for the Diamonds, scoring once.
