On This Day On January 14th 1954 United pulled off one of their greatest FA Cup giant-killings, beating Third Division (North) Stockport County 1-0 in front of a Manor crowd of 9,955. New U's A crowd of 5,184 A relaunched United side beat third placed Walsall 2-1 at the Manor today thanks to two first half goals from Phil Gray, back in the side after injury, in the 26th and 31st minutes.
