United reserves kept a clean sheet against Colchester reserves at Court Place Farm this afternoon, although they themselves were unable to score in an entertaining 0-0 draw. United’s latest humiliation occured at Spotland this afternoon, as Rochdale put five past them for Oxford’s second-worst result of the season. The disaster took only three minutes to start, with Greg Heald scoring from a corner. United’s Young Player of the Season, Craig Davies, scored both goals as United reserves beat Aldershot this evening. The game was originally scheduled to have been played at Court Place Farm, but a waterlogged pitch meant that it couldn’t go ahead, and instead it was played behind closed doors at the KasStad. For the second time this season United beat the fourth division leaders 2-1 at the Kas. In January it was Yeovil, this time round it was Southend, and both times the victory was fully deserved.
