Cardboard Trophy

In the second round of the FA Trophy, Oxford United were handed a home draw against former Conference rivals Woking. The Cards progressed to this stage by beating St Albans City 6-0 in the third qualifying round and then eliminating Forest Green Rovers 1-0 on Saturday in the first round.

In their three years (so far) of competing in the Trophy, United have never progressed beyond the second round, losing 2-1 at home to York City at this stage last season. Woking, on the other hand, have a history of success in this competition, winning it in 1994, when they beat Runcorn 2-1, 1995, when they beat Kidderminster Harriers 2-1, and 1997, when they beat Dagenham and Redbridge 1-0.
