Cam and have a go if you’re cold enough

From the Rage Online newsdesk Friday, December 18th, 2009

A pitch inspection at 10.30 this morning could give some indication as to whether or not Oxford United's game at Cambridge United will go ahead tonight. Cambridge has had four inches of snow overnight, with many power cuts and over 100 schools closed, but there remains a slim possibility that the game this evening, which could see United go eight points clear of Stevenage Borough (at least until Stevenage play Barrow tomorrow).

Good news for United is that Dannie Bulman will be fit to play after he got knobbled at Barrow in the FA Cup second round ten days ago. On the debit side, Adam Murray's booking in the FA Trophy win over Hayes & Yeading United took him up to five for the season, meaning that he will be suspended this evening. Damian Batt remains hamstrung, but James Constable, Ryan Clarke, and Mark Creighton are all likely to return to the starting line-up after being rested for the Trophy game.

Cambridge are currently 10th in the Conference, and are struggling to have a consistent run. Their last game saw them beat Luton Town 3-1 in the FA Trophy, with danger-man Chris Holroyd scoring two, while danger-to-his-own-side-man Wayne Hatswell scored an own goal to keep the Hatters happy(ish). If the game is called off, you'll doubtless learn about it here last. [@opponent]cambridge united[/@opponent][@connection] cambridge united[/@connection]
