| Not a lot to report concerning January 4th. That's not to say that there have been no games on this date, but not a great many of lasting significance, really. In 1969 United drew with first division Southampton 1-1 in the FA Cup in front of over 15,000 at the Manor. In '86 it was Tottenham who achieved the same scoreline at the Manor in the same competition. In their pre-professional days Headington United beat Thame in the first round of the Oxon Senior Cup 14-2. |
