Raging Fever travelled to Chalfont St. Giles to take on the Old Amersham Players (OAPs) in a friendly before the Wycombe game. With the OAPs having an average age of 45 and Fever averaging 30, there were hopes of a Fever victory. This was enhanced in the warm-up as Fever stretched their supple joints and the OAPs oiled theirs.

Experience should not be underestimated however, and within 10 minutes the OAPs had taken the lead when an incisive through ball was latched onto by Steve Raher, who calmly finished.
