United visit Crawley Town tonight, for the live televised match on Sky Sports 1. Crawley have been in the wars recently, and under the chairmanship of the Majeed brothers came very close to folding at the start of the season. However, a last-minute CVA agreement looks to have secured the short-term future of the club, while an anonymous buyer is on the verge of taking over the club from the grasp of the Majeeds. However, their future is still uncertain for now, and The Devils Trust, Crawley’s supporters trust, is calling on supporters to attend tonight’s game to protest against the Majeeds. Needless to say, Rage Online supports the Crawley fans in their fight to oust their shyster owners.

Jim Smith will have at least one more player to add to his squad this evening, as Chris Hargreaves has completed his three-match suspension following his dismissal against St Albans. Hargreaves is likely to start in place of Eddie Hutchinson. Striker Rob Duffy is also fit after missing three matches with a stomach strain, but he may have to make do with a place on the bench, despite Smith’s criticism of Marvin Robinson after Saturday’s game against Grays Athletic. Gavin Johnson, who has a torn hamstring and who will be out for another six weeks or so, is the only first-team player unavailable.

Crawley are currently second from bottom of the Conference, but that’s because of the ten points they were deducted for going into administration during the summer. Otherwise they would be eleventh in the table. There are two former Us in the Crawley squad: Danny Brown is the Devils’ captain, while Dave Woozley is also lumbering around their defence. Despite this, Crawley were one of the last teams to be unbeaten in the Conference this season, and they will doubtless be trying hard to end United’s current good start to the season, in front of the TV-watching dozens.
