News reaches us that on Tuesday 16th August, at 7:30pm, there will be a charity dinner and auction in aid of the Oakley Waterman Caravan Foundation, to be held at the Kassam Stadium. The cost of the event is ?400 per table, with a maximum of ten people per table.

The meal itself is a full three course affair including half a bottle of wine and places can booked by contacting the events team on 01865 780882. The evening will be compered by United’s own Peter Rhodes-Brown, as well as featuring after dinner entertainment by a comedian and a DJ.

The auction will take the form of a live-event where bids can be made for a number of items, as well as a sealed bid auction for other items. Lots currently offered include a number of signed shirts, signed posters, attendance at a golf day with some of the United players, and many other items donated by United staff past and present, including Ken Ridley’s entire collection of Oxford United programmes (which apparently number over 1,000).
