Morris returns to Norwich

Striker Carlton Morris has returned to parent club Norwich City after the Championship side recalled him from his loan spell with Oxford United.

The 18 year-old has struggled to force his way into the Yellows squad with top goalscorer Danny Hylton and fellow loanee Tyrone Barnett impressing up front in recent weeks.

Morris, who was supposed to stay at the Kassam Stadium until the end of December, scored one goal for the Us after starting the first seven games of the 2014-15 season.

Oxford manager Michael Appleton said: “Carlton has done well and we have enjoyed having him here. He works hard at his game and we wish him well for the future. “We have six players on loan at the moment and can only use five so it seems a sensible move for all concerned.”
