It’s Boston United at the KasStad tomorrow, and an opportunity for United to put their recent disappointments to one side. United have never lost to Boston in the League (they’ve only played three times, but even so), and they’ll be looking to continue that run after losing their last two games. This is one of three Third Division games being played tomorrow, including Bury against United’s Easter Monday opponents, Torquay.
Graham Rix has, apparently, one or two injury concerns after the Mansfield defeat, but he’s being keeping tight-lipped as to who the affected players are. Players such as Scott McNiven, Lee Steele and Matt Bound, who haven’t featured recently, were not involved in the reserve’s humiliating 8-1 defeat at Bristol City yesterday (where all the goals came in the second half), and so could possibly feature over the Easter weekend, if not tomorrow. Mark Rawle will obviously be hoping to be involved, despite his disappointing show at Field Mill, as Boston was his first club and he did well there. However, as seems to be the case with Rix so far, the line-up really is anyone’s guess.
Boston still have a couple of ex-Us in their ranks, with Mark Angel fit again after being out with injury, but Stuart Douglas is only 50/50 after being injured against Darlington last week. Boston won that game 1-0, and have won their last two away games as they have moved up into mid-table, still fifteen points behind United. For no apparent reason, Rage Online is ridiculously optimistic about this match, but we will try and temper that with a bit of hard-earned realism and go for a 1-1 draw.
