Meanwhile, it seems that one midfielder is lost and three more come along to replace him. Following previous rumours about Darlington’s Neil Maddison and Swansea’s Andrew Mumford, it appears that former Barnet and Orient midfielder Danny Brown is currently having a trial with Oxford. Apparently Ian Atkins has long admired (where have we heard that expression before?) Brown and would like to sign him, although it might mean players leaving in order to bring new ones in. Atkins himself has said that some of the fringe players, such as Manny Omoyinmi, Sam Ricketts, Jefferson Louis and Simon King, could soon be on their way after receiving offers from various Conference clubs.
According to Boston manager, Neil Thompson, their new left-sided defender/midfielder Graham Potter, who they have just signed from York City, received an offer from Oxford United. This is news to us.
