Brown’s around

From the Rage Online newsdesk Wednesday, July 16th, 2003

Former Barnet and Orient midfielder Danny Brown completed his signing for United today, just in time to play at Wantage this evening. Also featuring tonight should be Steve Basham, Manny Omoyinmi and various others who didn’t play at Oxford City, or who only had part of a game, such as Simon Cox, Jefferson Louis, Dexter Blackstock and, of course, Jamie Brooks. We shouldn’t read too much into Brooks’s appearances, though, as Ian Atkins has said that he is being selected to boost his confidence on his road to recovery, but Jamie won’t be ready for first team football until Christmas.

Last night Bobby Ford turned out in a friendly for Dr Marten’s Premier League side Bath City as they beat Screwfix Western League runners-up Brislington at Twerton Park. Meanwhile former United trainee, and someone Rage Online was hoping would go far at the Us, Kelvin MacIntosh has signed for Maidenhead United.
