Chesterfield striker Dean Morgan has joined Oxford United on a one month loan deal. The 28 year old joins the club as Mehdi Kerroche's loan spell comes to an end, with James Constable, Tom Craddock, Alfie Potter and Jon-Paul Pittman all also unavailable.
Morgan is capable of playing anywhere across the front line and has made 21 appearances for Chesterfield in all competitions this season, scoring 4 goals.
The well-travelled striker began his career at Colchester United, before playing for Reading and Luton Town. Loan moves to Southend United, Crewe Alexandra and Leyton Orient followed, before the briefest of spells at Grays Athletic in 2009. Whilst contracted to MK Dons, Morgan spent a spell in Division Three with Aldershot Town, scoring 4 goals in 11 appearances. Despite being offered a contract at Aldershot, Morgan opted to sign for Chesterfield where he joined former Oxford strikers Craig Davies and Deane Smalley in a promotion winning side.
