Shrews Tuesday

From the Rage Online newsdesk Tuesday, March 6th, 2012

Mark Gelder
Saturday was a backs to the wall, smash and grab victory, against all the odds against the league leaders. 10 tired men have had Sunday off to recover, before training on Monday and a match Tuesday night against Shrewsbury Town. Last season United were beaten 3-0 in the last game of the season, leaving the Shrews into the play-offs. They could not turn around a 2-0 away defeat at Torquay, drawing the home leg 0-0. Torquay went on to lose to Stevenage in the final

United news
James Constable is out for three games, and the mounting injury list means United will be down to the bare bones.

Shrews news
Shrewsbury are unbeaten at home in over a year, and are chasing the automatic promotion places. With games in hand on Southend and Cheltenham, their destiny is their own making.

Marvin Morgan, once of Aldershot, played 90 minutes in the local derby against Crewe last week, which they drew 1-1.

Other news
Southend and Crawley drew 0-0 on Monday night, giving hope to the chasing pack in League 2 that one of the three automatic promotion places might still be up for grabs. [@opponent]Shrewsbury Town[/@opponent][@connection]Shrewsbury Town[/@connection]
