Game on!

With the last two Saturday games postponed against Barnet and Accrington Stanley, Oxford United fans will be looking forward to seeing a game of football against John Still's Dagenham and Redbridge.

Last time out at Burton Albion, United apparently gave the worst first half performance in a long time, however luckily for your previewer, train delays meant I missed the first half hour. United came out fighting in the second half, and Alfie Potter finally got a goal he has been promising all season with a mazy run in and out of the Burton defenders to squeeze the ball in from a tight angle.

The Daggers' fixtures have also fallen foul of the weather, missing their last two games against Morecambe and Northampton. However, last Saturday they took in a friendly against Hendon on the all-weather pitch at their training ground, winning 5-2. The squad included 11 of their last starting 16, plus new signing Matt Saunders from Fulham

United Team news
The transfer window had been predicted to be quiet from the first team point of view, and perhaps the only surprise was Deane Smalley going to Bradford on loan. However, at the end of the month Alfie Potter fractured his ankle, and injuries to Jon Paul Pittman (hamstring), and Tom Craddock (hamstring) left United thin on forwards, with Australian Matt Fletcher leaving the club after his non-contract spell. With Damien Batt serving the second game of his suspension, Chris Wilder has brought in:- Mehdi Kerrouche (forward) on loan; Mark Wilson (midfield), Scott Rendell (forward), and Lee Holmes (forward). Together with James Constable and Oli Johnson, there are now plenty of attacking options from both sides of the pitch.

Dagenham news
The Daggers start the evening in 22nd place in the league on 24 points, with only Plymouth (23) and Northampton (21) below them. They had a mixed January in the league, taking a good point away at Southend, before losing 1-0 at home to Hereford, 4-1 away at Crewe, and 1-0 away at Torquay, before a 3-2 home win in their last game against Rotherham.

Top scorers in the league with five each are Jon Nurse and Brian Woodall. Nurse also has most shots with 22 on target and 22 off target. Earlier in the season Cristian Montano was on loan from West Ham after a spell at Notts County, however he has now returned to West Ham and then back to County. Jon Nurse is also top of the disciplinary charts, with 36 fouls and two yellows. Abu Ogogo has notched up five yellows and a red, and Scott Doe one yellow and two reds.

Other news
Manager Chris Wilder moves up to 13th on the list of longest serving English league managers following Mick McCarthy's sacking by Wolves.
