Raging Fever 12 Swindon Town 2

Before telling the story of a historic victory, it is with regret that I must inform you that this match report is not what you may have come to expect. Gone are the in-jokes, the Longshaw-related banter and the gross exaggeration of two-yard finishes. For this week, avid readers, Raging Fever are making their way into the OUFC matchday programme. For one week only, Fever are being portrayed as a highly professional and organised unit. The truth will return next week.

Whether the fixture takes place at the Kassam Stadium or a chilly Horspath Road, a match against those less fortunate than ourselves will always be an eagerly anticipated affair.

For Raging Fever, this is the big one.

Having been beaten in the corresponding fixture last season, Fever knew the importance of taking the initiative early on. The endeavour of Dickon Ceadel soon brought the rewards it deserved as the midfielder chased a seemingly lost cause on the right wing. After sliding to keep the ball in play, the ball fell to Nick Wehmeier who was given plenty of time to drill a right-footed effort into the bottom corner.
