Boothams up

Oxford United face another long away trip on Saturday, when they travel to face York City. United have already beaten York, in the season's opening game when they scored two late goals through Matt Green and Mark Creighton to overturn a Richard Brodie opener. Since then, the Us have had a storming run which has seen them go nine points clear at the top of the Conference and lose just one game, at Mansfield Town. However, York are likely to be one of the teams challenging for the play-offs and, like Mansfield, this game is certainly not a foregone conclusion.

The good news for Chris Wilder is that he has an almost complete squad to choose from. Sam Deering has returned from his loan spell at Newport County, Alfie Potter is now over his virus, and Marcus Kelly has returned to training following a toe injury. The only doubt is goalkeeper Billy Turley, who has a calf strain.

York have been on a good run recently, their 1-0 defeat at Salisbury City on Saturday ended a run of ten games unbeaten. The Minstermen have not lost at home this season (won five, drawn three) and have only conceded six goals at Bootham Crescent, having scored 15. York have United left-back Chris Carruthers on loan, but the terms of his deal stipulate that he cannot play against Oxford.
