Raging Fever gained their first win of the season in testing circumstances. Featuring a squad of ten men (and a girl on loan), no fewer than two debutants, and a pitch with a slope that puts most others to shame, it seemed like any positive result would be miraculous.

To their credit, Fever began the game as they meant to continue, attacking from the off. New girl Sophie struck up an instant partnership with John Matthews up front and nearly set him through had it not been for the referee's whistle.
