There were a couple of eyebrow-raising results in today's Conference games, and one or two that were more predictable. Cambridge United remain top of the table with a 100 percent record after their 3-0 win at Eastbourne Borough, who drop to 20th place. Weymouth are second, although they may have been disappointed to beat third-bottom Lewes just 2-0. Barrow beat relegated Mansfield Town 2-1 to go third, and leave the Stags in ninth. Salisbury City are fourth, a penalty enough to see off 16th-placed Grays Athletic. In the Northants derby, fifth-placed Rushden & Diamonds could only draw 1-1 at 15th-placed Kettering Town.
United's opponents on Monday, Woking, remain bottom without a point after going down 1-0 at home to 11th-placed Forest Green Rovers. Stevenage Borough remain second from bottom, after they were hammered 4-0 at Ebbsfleet United, who go eighth. Northwich Victoria are fourth from bottom after they drew 2-2 at home to sixth-placed York City.
Oxford, without a game, have dropped just one place to 19th. Altrincham are 18th after they lost 4-0 at 14th-placed Kidderminster Harriers, for whom Justin Richards scored the second goal from the penalty spot. Torquay United's season continues to stutter after the 17th-placed Gulls lost 3-1 at Crawley, in 12th place, with Jamie Cook scoring a penalty for Crawley's third. In an exciting game at Histon, the Cambridgeshire side climbed to 13th after beating 10th-placed Burton Albion 4-3, with Daniel Wright scoring a hat-trick, including two penalties, for Histon.
