Cusacked!

At the end of last week former United striker Nick Cusack was given his cards at Swansea, to be replaced by Brian Flynn. Swansea are bottom of the league and this is a desperate measure by the club to avoid non-league football at the Vetch next season. Unfortunately we are unable to wish them luck, but that's football!

Following Saturday's talk linking United with Hull's Lawrie Dudfield, there is now a new rumour suggesting that Oxford are looking to sign Ipswich striker Richard Naylor on loan. Allegedly Naylor has turned down the opportunity to come to the KasStad because he is concerned that he has a knee injury that he wants to sort out before going anywhere. Naylor recently turned down a similar offer from Hull, although he did go to Millwall and Barnsley last season, where he failed to score.

Meanwhile there is speculation that Charlton Athletic are keen to sign former superstar Matty Elliott from Leicester City. Let's hope that if they do it won't be before United play at the Valley on October 1st.
