No fireworks for Villa

Oxford's 3rd Round League Cup game against Aston Villa has been put back a day to Wednesday 6th November, making it the first major Wednesday game to be played at the Kassam Stadium. The reason behind it is because Villa have a Premiership game on the preceding Sunday, although why that should be a concern of ours we don't know.

United's youth team, meanwhile, were eliminated from the FA Youth Cup going down 1-0 at QPR. United were missing several regulars, ineligible because they were 19 years old, although Barrett, standing in for Simon Cox in goal because Cox was called up by Northern Ireland, did save a penalty (can United play a game these days without some sort of penalty involved?) and the Us did have their chances at the other end. The reserves' game at Cardiff was called off because of this match and other unavailable players.
