Us Vivaceous again

With Adi Viveash's return to the fold (see yesterday's news) United will almost certainly revert to the 3-5-2 formation which has been so successful on their travels recently as they travel to Cambridge. It's up front where the Us have their biggest problems, with Steve Basham, Lee Steele, Andy Scott and Jamie Brooks all definitely ruled out. With Manny Omoyinmi and Gavin Gordon both suffering hamstring injuries in last Saturday's win over Swansea that leaves Ian Atkins with just David Oldfield, Jefferson Louis and Chris Hackett able to play up front, with the first two the favourites to start.

Cambridge are having a good patch of form at present and could well threaten United's five away match winning streak (calling the Charlton game a victory for the purposes of bigging up the lads). However former Oxford lad Paul Wanless is unlikely to make the starting XI, which should be of comfort to those who reckon that former Us always score against us (which they generally do, if they're at all ept). Nevertheless, recent misplaced optimism has taught us that we should not be complacent and we therefore err on the side of caution and predict a 1-0 win to the home side, damn us to Hell.
