Ford breakdown

Bobby Ford's absence from the line-up at Cambridge yesterday, and the reason for the hurried introduction of Roy Hunter to the squad, is because United's playmaker requires a hernia operation which could see him out of action for up to eight weeks. He is apparently due to report to the Acland Hospital next Friday.
