Funeral March?

Funeral March?

Our gratitude to Relegatarian for providing this analysis.
United can still be relegated before the start of April. Obviously we need to lose all three remaining games, but as two are away and the other is Rotherham, who may very well be top by Saturday, that shouldn't prove beyond us. If we achieve that, we will have nine games to play and will be able to reach a maximum of 43 points, hence we need all but three other clubs to exceed that figure. Swansea and Luton can't do it, and Bristol Rovers, who have 37, will do well to get close, but Oldham and Peterborough, on 43, just need a point apiece; Cambridge, on 41, would necessarily have at least 44 if we lose to them and Port Vale, on 41, need another three points. It may all hang on whether swindon, currently on 40 points, can get another four points before March is out. They continue in their attempt to relegate United in March at Colchester tomorrow evening.
