United's reserves win

An Andy Scott goal after 62 minutes was enough for United's reserves to beat Reading in an Avon Insurance Combination game at Didcot's Loop Meadow. The goal was set up by Paul Powell whose run took him past two Reading defenders before he slipped the ball through to Scott who finished from 15 yards. The United side also included Ian McCaldon, Manny Omoyinmi, Scott McNiven, ROS Chris Hackett and Lee Steele, who limped off with ten minutes to go. Reading had Adi Viveash in their line-up.
