The race for the third automatic promotion spot got slightly more complex this afternoon as York (with Lee Nogan) beat Macclesfield (featuring David Smith) 2-1. This means York go back up to seventh, just two points behind Oxford but having played a game more. United have a chance to create a bit of a gappette on Tuesday if they can beat Wrexham in a vital game. Other significant midweek matches are Bury's visit to Cambridge and Bournemouth's trip to Kidderminster, with United hoping that the home teams can both win.
