Triallists on, er, trial
In addition to Thame United striker Jefferson Louis (about whom we informed you before even United's official site!) Oxford will have another triallist on show in their reserve fixture against Cardiff in Merthyr Tydfil tomorrow. He is midfielder
Sean Evers, formerly of Plymouth but currently training with Ayr United. United manager Ian Atkins is also going to watch Chester's FA Trophy game at Solihull tonight in order to check out City's right back
Lee Woodyatt, who apparently comes highly rated. Atkins also claims that he is going to check on Phil Bolland's progress, although it is possible that if he likes what he sees of Woodyatt a swap deal might be in the offing.
Sues you sir
Oxford City Council has announced that it intends to take legal action to recover the half million pounds owed by Firoz Kassam as part of the deal which transfered land to United for them to build the new stadium. The money was due to have been paid on January 4th but was not forthcoming and no suitable alternative has been able to be agreed. With Kassam currently out of the country on business no comment has been forthcoming from United, but they were presumably expecting this development.
